“A joyous event NOT to be missed”
What: The Oxton Art Fair
Where: The Williamson Art Gallery & Museum
When: Saturday 28th(10-5) & Sunday 29th (10-4) November
‘On the 12th Year of Christmas, my true love sent to me, 17 Oxton Artists and a Partridge in a Pear Tree.’
This year’s visitors to one of Wirral’s most established art events can expect to see large canvas landscapes and townscapes, delicate hand-crafted jewellery, intricate textiles, 3D embroidery and mixed media, along with printmakers, painters, photography and a potter. All our artists exhibit regularly in the North West, some nationally and a few internationally. One thing the Oxton Artists have in common is their work is all individually crafted, meaning there is something to please everyone, across the board.
This year’s event will be opened by children’s author Cathy Cassidy, who has recently been nominated for the prestigious Carnegie Medal, 2016.
Comments: Wirral cultural ambassador, Mike McGear-McCartney, who opened the event in 2013, called it; “a joyous event NOT to be missed”.
Look forward to seeing you there!
